These photos are from past jobs where we have had to tap in, repair, or install new drainage or other means of removing and help reduce water build up.
Drainage in this area has seemed to be a big issue in general. Some houses or properties have enough slope to run piping out without any pumps. When installing gutters on houses or buildings, they do not think sometimes where will the water go once, they get to the ground which causes a drain issue. If there is no way to slope the dirt away from the house, then pipes or catch basins are needed. Some math comes into play when they install the gutters which also has math come into play for drainpipes. If there is no way to run water way naturally then a pump must be installed. If a pump is installed, then an outlet must be installed nearby also. Catch basins are nice, except they need to be fifteen feet away from all structures, must be away from any wires or other pipes also. Each option has its pluses and negatives, which also will vary on each job. Installations done properly are not going to be cheap, but they will be done properly. Proper drainage saves your house structure from having any more damage done, so you do not want that water sitting around the yard if you can prevent it. It also can cause damage to your yard such as not allowing grass to grow, fungus or mildew growing. If you do not have a company try and fix these issues, then you will keep going back fixing other major issues over time multiple times till the water is moved elsewhere. Pipe sizes will vary on how much water you are needing to move, catch basins in the line will vary also. If you are running pumps you can get away with smaller pipes usually, but not all cases. If the pricing from a company is very cheap then, I would check to see what their plan is and have two other companies give you a quote also to make sure everything seems legit on top of doing your research on that company. Do your research like you do when you buy a car to make sure you compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges on your drainage.
